Dynamic Management
You add a new user to the system. You provide his basic information. You tell the system he is a Father, lives on the east coast, has a university degree and describes his learning style as visual.
You add another Father. He is also on the east coast but never finished high school and says he prefers a more hands-on learning experience.
Based on this enrollment they are both added to the East Coast Parents competency map. All the Activities to satisfy the objectives of this Path are either eLearning courses or seminars offered on the east coast.
When each Father enters the eLearning course they are entering the same course. However, the Father who was a visual learner experiences more video clips and the Father who was more hands-on is presented with more activities. The text is also different for each, catering to the reading level differences of these two similar but different learners.
The administrator of the program is not sure the activities are working. When he runs a report on the competency map he finds a large percentage of Fathers finishing the Path but of those that identified themselves as hands-on learners only a handful have finished.
How is it possible for an LMS to craft what content goes to each user, both in custom enrollment based on who you are but also in the next step of how learning is presented? This is Dynamic Management and it is at the heart of Thinking Cap's® Semantic Knowledge Management approach. By creating metadata to describe courses and competency map we can map the same Metadata to Learners so that each Domain in our Learning Management System can capture the appropriate learners. Once in an eLearning Course the LMS can pass Metadata to the Delivery Templates and draw on Content based on that Metadata.
From enrollment right through to Delivery and Reporting, Dynamic Management makes sure your Northern Sales Team is getting the slight policy differences from the policy given to the Southern Team. It is making sure all new hires are getting and completing the orientation competency map. It is cutting your administration time down and allowing pinpoint reporting at every level of the organization. It is making an LMS drive training and not impede it.
