At Thinking Cap we value the opinions of our clients and employees. We always consider their ideas, feedback and solutions. They are the backbone of our products, and the reason why we work hard every day to ensure we deliver a product that is innovative, simple to use and effective.
In 2008 Thinking Cap President Doug Wallace had an idea, what would it be like to create an environment that encouraged employees and clients to speak their mind? Somewhere that a client can feel comfortable saying “I wish your product could…” Somewhere that could translate ideas into reality.
This is how Thinking Camp evolved. The Thinking Cap team, along with clients; make their way to Toronto Island. After a short ferry ride to the island participants are taken to an old school house. A classroom reserved for Thinking Camp smells of fresh coffee and baked goods. We are already set up, one long table lined with chairs, black boards ready, pens and notebooks piled. The setting is relaxed and promotes an easy flow of ideas. There is no formal seating and participants are free to sit where they please. Employees and clients sit side by side.
The initial presentation is done by Thinking Cap president, Doug Wallace. Energetic and passionate about the industry, Doug sets the mood and writes the topic down for everyone to see: Thinking Cap Products; where they are now, where we envision them going, and how to get there.
This is how Thinking Camp proceeds. Clients and employees alike share what they would like to see added to Thinking Cap. Ideas come from all directions and range from functionalities to product appearence. No idea is left unconsidered, and all are appreciated.
In fall of 2010 Thinking Camp will be in its third year, and we hope to have the largest camp yet. This is of no cost to our clients other then their own travel arrangements and everyone leaves satisfied, knowing that they are heard. Want to become part of Thinking Camp 2010?
